Avalanche Discussion
( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A series of disturbances is expected to bring more light snow to the area. Winds may be slightly stronger with averages to twenty miles per hour and mountain temperatures are to rise into the mid teens. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be:Moderate in the Teton area where pockets of human triggered dense surface slabs to thirty inches are possible in steep terrain.Moderate in the Togwotee Pass area where pockets of hard slabs to the ground are possible in very steep terrain.Considerable in Southwest Trails/Greys River area where surface slabs to two feet and dangerous full depth hard slabs are possible in steep terrain. On Saturday night at the Stagecoach in Wilson many great bands including the Chanman Roots Band will be performing at the annual Ski Bum Music Festival. The event is a benefit for the Avalanche Forecast Support Organization which is the non-profit friends group of this avalanche center.
