Lo esencial
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE this morning and will increase to HIGH during the day. New soft surface slabs to two feet in depth formed primarily by overnight snow and Sunday's storm will be easily triggered. Forecasted high snowfall rates and wind in a short period of time will increase the size and sensitivity of slides. Natural slides have been reported at Teton Pass and in the Snake River Canyon. The potential also remains for larger DANGEROUS hard slab avalanches up to five or six feet in depth to be triggered in steep avalanche terrain on a deeply buried layer of faceted snow formed early in the season.TRAVEL IN AVLANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
