Avalanche Activity

Not much snow. Moist slides and glide-snow avalanches possible during the daytime.

Low avalanche danger. Due to daytime warming and solar radiation, glide-snow avalanches and moist slides are possible.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack has settled and consolidated well over the last few days due to warm temperatures and solar radiation. Below 1800 m there is little snow on the ground. Below 1400 m the ground is bare of snow.

Weather Synopsis

Monday night: foehn winds are coming to an end, gray skies will follow and light rainfall will set in during the early morning hours in the northern regions. Snowfall level will descend to nearly 1500 m. In the Montafon it could remain relatively dry. Tuesday: a weak cold front will bring gray skies with clouds and fog. Above 1500 m in the northern massifs, a bit of fresh snow. In the afternoon, only a few showers. Rätikon, Silvretta and Verwall will remain dry. Temperatures at 2000 m: -1 degree. Moderate W/SW winds.

Avalanche danger will remain low.
