Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy thawing snowpack will slowly firm up as the freezing level lowers and will remain stable and well bonded. This existing snowpack will be found mainly on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. Any new snowfall will be superficial and will be mainly lying on bare ground. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will lower below summit height around dawn to reach 700 metres. Light winds will become moderate during the day from a general North-East direction. Insignificant amounts of snowfall are forecasted in the afternoon, slightly more inland. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with light and variable winds. The freezing level was above summit heights. ObservedSnowStability: The continually thawing snowpack is stable and well bonded throughout. Largest patches can be found on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. Little cover below this height. The avalanche hazard is Low.
