Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain well bonded and stable. A firm and very icy surface on many slopes will persist which could lead to serious consequences in the event of an uncontrolled slip or fall. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: High pressure will maintain dry and settled conditions overnight and on Monday. Winds will be fresh, generally Southerly. Summit temperatures through the day will be around -2.0 or -3.0 degrees Celcius. Observed Weather Influences: A cold night with frost at all levels was followed by a bright sunny day. Winds have been light generally Southerly. Summit temperatures were around -2.0 Celcius. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable, firm and icy conditions exist on all aspects above 650 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
