The early morning will see favourable conditions generally. As the day progresses as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be only a slight increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. Backcountry tours, off-piste skiing and ascents to alpine cabins should be concluded timely. Additionally in very isolated cases avalanches can be released in the old snowpack.

Snowpack Structure

The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. The high temperatures as the day progresses will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack. In very isolated cases weak layers exist in the snowpack on very steep northwest, north and east facing slopes. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.
