Avalanche Activity

Low avalanche danger

Avalanche danger is predominantly LOW. Only isolated steep slopes which have not yet discharged will have naturally triggered small wet loose-snow avalanches or glide-snow avalanches. Due to the below average snow depths, touring possibilites are reduced.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack was made thoroughly wet by rainfall. On Friday night, rainfall to high altitudes. The surface will be able to consolidate somewhat. Snow depths are below average. The slopes are largely bare of snow at low altitudes.

Weather Synopsis

On Saturday, heavy clouds, minor rainfall and snowfall (snow above 1600-1800 m). Starting at midday, dry weather, better visibility. At 1500 m: 1 degree, at 2000 m: -3 degrees. Winds will be westerly, 40-60 km/hr.

Tendency

No significant change in the avalanche situation is anticipated.
