Avalanche Activity

In all aspects only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Wind slabs can in isolated cases be released by large loads. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially on extremely steep slopes. Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint. In all regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Snowpack Structure

In all regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. As a consequence of the occasionally strong wind, fresh snow drift accumulations formed. Individual weak layers exist in the old snowpack on extremely steep shady slopes.
