Lo esencial

Repeated melt-freeze cycles followed by a hard freeze overnight have created a mostly stable snowpack. Avalanches are unlikely. Caution is advised in extreme terrain.

Avalanche Discussion

Skies are expected to mostly clear overnight and on Tuesday. In the mountains temperatures will drop into the mid teens by dawn and rise into 30s and 40s in the afternoon. Winds are expected to be around five miles per hour and back towards the southwest. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW but will increase after snow surfaces soften. Steep avalanche prone slopes should be avoided in the afternoon.
