Lo esencial
At the upper elevations recent snow and wind have formed dense slabs to three feet that could be triggered today by backcountry users on steep wind loaded aspects. At the mid elevations pockets of these slabs could be triggered to two feet on steep wind loaded slopes and around cliff areas. These mid and upper elevation slabs have some potential to step down to deeper layers. At the lower elevations freezing temperatures have added strength to the snowpack, however as warming occurs today wet slides are possible on steep terrain as the crusts soften. Yesterday Mile Long Couloir in Granite Canyon slid naturally and skier triggered slides were reported on Shovel Slide on Teton Pass and in the Rock Springs Drainage.
