Lo esencial

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. South facing slopes received good warming yesterday and will be more stable in the morning but by afternoon the chance of natural or user released wet loose slides will increase. Stay off steep, south facing areas in the afternoon. Snowfall and strong ridgetop winds early in the week developed soft slabs to eighteen inches in depth and areas that did not receive good sun yesterday could be triggered today by backcountry riders on steep leeward slopes and may pull out deeper slabs to three feet in depth that lie upon slick hard crusts. A large slide with a three foot depth ran on Mann Peak Monday.
