Lo esencial

The snowpack is mostly stable. Isolated pockets of shallow wind slab could be human triggered in steep terrain. Small slides could knock a person over or sweep them down a very steep slope or over a cliff. Loose snow sluffs are possible on steep sunlit aspects, especially during the warmest portion of the day. Normal caution is advised.

At the upper elevations small pockets of wind slab could be human triggered in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones. steep couloirs and cliff areas. These small surface slabs were formed by west to north-northeast winds, are generally 6 to 12 inches deep and are may become more sensitive to ski cuts as the day warms.

Avalanche Discussion

Skies will remain mostly clear. Areas of morning valley fog are possible. Temperatures will be in the teens and single digits overnight and rise into the 20s and 30s during the day. Light westerly winds will continue. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW in the Teton and Greys River/Southwest Trails areas and MODERATE in the Togwotee Pass/Continental Divide Trails area where some weak layers persist within the snowpack.
