Lo esencial

Mostly unstable snow exist at all elevations. At mid and upper elevations sensitive dense slabs have formed upon light density snow, and graupel. These slabs could release naturally or be easily triggered by backcountry users and have the potential to pull out deeper layers of snow laying on crusts and faceted snow to four feet in depth. Early this morning Cow of the Woods slide in Hoback Canyon ran naturally, depositing 10' of snow on the road. Yesterday numerous slides of varying size and aspect released naturally and with human triggers near the Jackson Hole Ski Area. On Teton Pass slides also released naturally and through control efforts by WYDOT. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY. Pockets of slab could be triggered at low elevations particularly on steep wind loaded areas.
