Lo esencial

Additional snow loading and high winds have and will continue to increase the hazard of slabs in the new snow to 12". Beneath this new snow, pockets of soft slab up to three feet in depth exist at the mid & upper elevations especially on northerly aspects. These slabs could be human triggered on steep, wind loaded slopes and in cliff areas that have not had recent avalanche activity. At the lower elevations pockets of slab up to two feet in depth persist. Avalanches could be human triggered especially on steeper slopes and banks where a well developed layer of buried surface hoar persists beneath these slabs. Be aware of terrain traps.
