Lo esencial
At the mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS dense slabs up to four feet in depth lie upon weak layers of light density snow and slick crusts. These slabs continue to be triggered by skiers and snowmobilers in the Teton, Snake River and Absaroka Ranges. Natural activity has also been observed. In avalanche prone terrain at the lower elevations and in areas where the seasonal snowpack is shallow triggered slabs could step to the ground. Excellent route finding and terrain evaluation skills are essential for travel in avalanche terrain today.
