Lo esencial

The early season snowpack is mostly stable. At the higher elevations lighter snow lies over heavier, denser snow layers. Loose snow sloughs and isolated areas of instability are possible on very steep slopes and in extreme terrain. Normal caution is advised.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Snow showers are to continue overnight before tapering off in the morning. By the afternoon, skies should be mostly sunny. Mountain temperatures are to rise from the low teens to the low twenties. The general avalanche hazard remains low with avalanche hazard limited to isolated pockets that are most likely to be found in extreme terrain.
