Forecast Snow Stability: The existing older snowpack will remain firm, well bonded and stable in all locations. Redistribution will lead to isolated shallow windslab accumulations on steep South-East to South-West aspects above 1000 metres. Where these deposits overlie old snow they will be poorly bonded, in many locations they will overlie bare ground. Accumulations are not expected to be extensive. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A very cold, mainly dry day with a chance of a few light snow showers. The freezing level will drop to around 200 metres. Strong Northerly winds at dawn will decrease in strength through the day. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry day with light North-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The existing older snowpack is well bonded and stable at all levels, with a very thin covering off soft, fresh and stable snow. Greatest accumulations are in North and East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
