The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Dangerous slabs exist on a variety of aspects and elevations which rest on a weak, faceted snowpack. Backcountry travellers could release slides to eighteen inches in depth on steep slopes and gullies.

Slabs have settled and gained some strength however they lie on a variety of weak snow surfaces and new snow loads will keep them sensitive to human triggers. These slabs may be released to depths greater than two feet. Depending on snowfall at the Low elevations where stability has also increased the hazard is expected to be MODERATE where pockets of slab overlay weak facets and could be triggered on steep, wind loaded terrain.
