Lo esencial

In isolated areas at the high elevations the chance continues to trigger slabs to two feet in depth in very steep active avalanche paths that face northerly. Mostly stable snow exists at the mid and lower elevations.

Avalanche Discussion

Northerly flow aloft will bring continued cold temperatures and additional light snowfall overnight. Dryer conditions are expected Saturday with mountain temperatures reaching highs in the teens and winds coming from the northeast with twenty to thirty mile per hour averages. The general avalanche hazard will be MODERATE above 9000 feet where in isolated areas with northerly aspects the chance continues to trigger slabs to two feet in depth in very steep active avalanche paths. Below 9000 feet the hazard will be LOW in the stable and shallow early season snowpack.
