You may find a new thin slab of drifted snow on leeward exposed terrain features. These should be easy to manage, but could be problematic if traveling on steep slopes above cliffs or exposed rocks. Although unlikely, there is a small chance of triggering an avalanche that breaks into deeper weak layers in pockets of older wind-hardened snow. Sheltered slopes will offer safer riding options.
