Avalanche Summary

New snowfall and strong southwest winds increase the avalanche danger. You could trigger a small avalanche in stiff wind-drifted snow above treeline, especially on north, northeast, and east-facing slopes. Be on the lookout for cracking or collapsing in the new snow as a sign of instability. You can find safer travel in wind-sheltered terrain.
