Slabs 1 to 3 feet deep in the starting zones still exist on slopes that have not had recent avalanche activity and COULD BE HUMAN TRIGGERED on steep, wind loaded slopes today. Groups of skiers or snowboarders or a snowmobile could more easily trigger these slabs. At lower elevations isolated pockets of soft slab could be found on steeper slopes and road cuts.
