Lo esencial

Avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider will be unlikely on Saturday.  The weather forecast is for cloudy weather but with minimal rain and snow accumulations.  If you do find yourself out there during periods of sustained rain, expect Wet Loose avalanches to be possible.

For a long time now we have had cold nights refreezing the snow surface and then sunny days melting it.  These melt/freeze cycles have provided great corn snow riding and limited Wet Loose avalanche activity.  While Wet Loose avalanches have been possible on sunny slopes each afternoon, there really hasn't been much instability observed.  I doubt that unstable weather on Saturday (cloudy skies and chance of rain/snow showers) will do much to change this trend, with minimal rain amounts in the forecast for Saturday.  If you do observe sustained periods of rain, expect Wet Loose avalanches to become possible on steep slopes.
