SC 8.3.23 Moderately bonded windslab will persist. Steep E, S to SE aspects most affected. Avalanche Hazard Moderate.

Forecast Snow Stability: Accumulations of moderately bonded windslab will persist in steeper wind sheltered locations on East through South to South-East aspects above 900 metres. Stability around gully tops and corrie rims will remain poor. Recent wind exposed locations will be scoured and stable. Deep drifts will be encountered in lee locations at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Winds will be light North to North-North-East. Observed Weather Influences: A cold start to the day, -8 degrees celsius at 900 metres. Overnight light snowfall, dry thereafter. Fresh winds from the North-West but eased during the morning. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of unstable windslab are present in steep wind sheltered locations on East through South to South-West aspects above 900 meters.
