At the upper elevations shallow loose snow sluffs and isolated pockets of shallow surface slab could be human triggered in cliff areas and in steep couloirs. In addition, the potential for large loads to trigger a full depth hard slab avalanches in isolated areas has not been eliminated. At the mid and lower elevations mostly stable snow exists. The performance of the play "K2" at the Center for the Arts tonight, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon will benefit this avalanche center.

Areas of light snow are expected Saturday with little accumulation. Winds should be Southerly at 10-15 mph and mountain temperatures should reach the upper teens. The general avalanche hazard is to be Moderate on Saturday due to the slight chance that may remain for large loads to trigger full depth avalanches at upper elevations. Additionally, skiers or riders could trigger sluffs or isolated pockets of shallow surface slabs in cliff areas and near ridge crests that lie on the mostly stable snowpack.
