At the mid and upper elevations a few inches of new snow lie upon hard, wind packed snow and crusts in most aspects and upon well developed surface hoar in shaded areas. Significant avalanches are unlikely at the mid and upper elevations. Most lower elevation slopes remain bare.

Avalanche Discussion

A quick moving, weak system will bring light snow to the mountains overnight Saturday with accumulations of one or two inches. Lows Sunday morning will be in the teens and highs Sunday in the upper twenties. Ridge top winds will be westerly at 10 to 15 miles per hour.The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be LOW. The snow is mostly stable and significant avalanches are not likely.
