Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw and diminish remaining generally well bonded and stable. Existing cornices will be soft and unstable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will remain well above the summits for this period. Overnight, some short spells of rain then mainly dry through the day, some further rain towards the end of the day. Winds will be strong mainly from the West-South-Westerly direction.

Observed Weather Influences: It has been very mild with rain at all levels with strong South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is thawing on all aspects and at all elevations but remains generally well bonded. The avalanche hazard is Low.
