Forecast Snow Stability: Instabilities will persist in the recently deposited windslab above around 1150 metres, greatest accumulations of which lie on North-West through North to East aspects. New windslab will be deposited in sheltered areas, mainly on South-East to South-West aspects above 1000 metres, but accumulations are not expected to gain significant depth. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be generally moderate Northerly. The freezing level will gradually lower from 800 metres to around 550 metres. Some light snow showers. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with light winds and the freezing level was around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Instabilities persist in the recently deposited windslab above around 1150 metres. Greatest accumulations are on North-West through North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
