Avalanche Activity

Wet and gliding snow require caution.

Individual small moist avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. On very steep sunny slopes the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater.

Snowpack Structure

Above approximately 2000 m a little snow is lying. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. The snowpack will be moist at high altitude. On Friday it will be partly cloudy. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be severely restricted. These weather conditions will give rise to extreme and thorough wetting of the snowpack at high altitude. The wind will be light to moderate at times in some localities.
