Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain well bonded and stable in all locations. Greatest areas of snow cover will be in high North and East facing corries and gullies. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It is expected to remain dry overnight and through the day with the possibility of some rain at the end of the afternoon. Strong South-Easterly winds overnight increase to gale force during the day. The freezing level will be above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry, sunny day with strong South-Easterly winds. The freezing level was slowly rising and was around 1200 metres at midday. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable in all locations. The surface was firm this morning, gradually softening where in the sun. Best cover is to be found in high North and East facing corries and gullies. The avalanche hazard is Low.
