Avalanche Activity

Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found at intermediate and high altitudes and on very steep slopes.

As a consequence of a mostly light wind from westerly directions, small wind slabs formed. These can in isolated cases be released by people. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

Some snow will fall in the evening. 10 to 20 cm of snow fell on Thursday above approximately 1900 m. The old snowpack will be in most cases well bonded. Snow depths vary greatly at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions, depending on the infuence of the wind. At low and intermediate altitudes only a little snow is lying.

Tendency

Some snow will fall on Monday. The danger will increase during the day.
