The moderate wind will transport the new snow. New snow and wind slabs can in some places be released by small loads and reach medium size, in particular on very steep slopes adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas at intermediate and high altitudes. Especially on very steep slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas small and medium-sized natural dry avalanches are to be expected. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

In some localities up to 20 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2000 m. The old snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a crust that is strong in many cases. Less snow than usual is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack.

More natural dry avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.
