With mid-mountain temperatures remaining above freezing Friday night, expect any refreeze of the surface snow to quickly break down Saturday morning. This will be the warmest day yet above treeline. Steep sunny slopes at higher elevations that haven't released small wet loose avalanches or rollerballs may be ready to slide on Saturday naturally or with your help.
Small avalanches can be triggered in isolated areas during Low danger. Avoid extreme terrain features at lower elevations where you find wet surface snow.
At any elevation where you yourself sinking into wet surface snow, change aspects or choose lower angle terrain. Signs of pinwheels or rollerballs releasing below rock faces will tip you off that the odds of a wet loose avalanche have increased on similar slopes. Wet snow avalanches that begin small will pick up steam on larger steep sunny slopes. Take care near terrain traps, even small wet loose avalanches can pack a punch and knock you off your feet.
