Persistent weak layers
- Above 1,600 m
The wind will be moderate to strong over a wide area. In all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes at high altitude and in the vicinity of peaks.

The wind will be moderate to strong over a wide area. The older wind slabs will be covered with new snow and therefore difficult to recognise, in particular above the tree line and in the central part of the northern flank of the Alps. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes at high altitude and in the vicinity of peaks. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes. On south facing slopes hardly any snow is lying.
In all regions in all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. On south, southeast and southwest facing slopes no snow is lying. North, northeast and northwest facing slopes as well as shady slopes: The snowpack is stable and its surface has a crust.
