Avalanche Activity

Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.

The weather will be partly cloudy over a wide area. More moist and wet avalanches are possible as the day progresses, even medium-sized ones. Avalanches can be released, even by small loads in isolated cases. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in particular in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. Low avalanche danger will prevail.

Snowpack Structure

In all aspects only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The snowpack will be moist below approximately 2500 m. The weather conditions will foster a gradual stabilisation of the snowpack. Weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes.

Low avalanche danger will prevail.
