Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow and the wind slabs will be deposited on a quite favourable old snowpack.

The snowpack will be in most cases moist. In the vicinity of peaks a dangerous avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities. Avalanches can penetrate down to the ground and reach medium size in some cases.
