Lo esencial
A shallow early season snowpack exists. Conditions are mostly stable however isolated pockets of surface slabs with depths to twelve inches lie above 9000 feet that could be triggered by skiers or hunters today in very steep wind loaded terrain. Such an event happened on Friday in Montana when two hunters were carried through rough terrain with a shallow snowpack.
Avalanche Discussion
Dry weather tonight with increasing clouds and a chance of mountain snow showers during the day. Temperatures will be in the 20s. Winds will be south to southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is LOW and avalanches are unlikely.
