Avalanche Summary

Avoid steep southerly slopes when the sun comes out. Sheltered gullies, with rocky walls to heat up, will be the first slopes to pop out Loose Dry avalanches. Pay attention to slopes above you that maybe getting sun. You can avoid this problem at higher elevations and on shady slopes.
