Avalanche Summary

You may encounter fresh, dense slabs 2 to 3 feet thick on the eastern half of the compass. Higher-elevation slopes below ridges will be the most likely places to encounter this new problem and possibly trigger an avalanche. Be heads up for early warning signs like shooting cracks, and plan to avoid any steep, wind-loaded slopes. Lower elevation sheltered terrain will provide safer riding options.
