Lo esencial
At the upper elevations, pockets of soft slabs up to a foot in depth rest upon slick crusts. Backcountry travelers could trigger these slabs, along with loose snow sloughs on steep, wind-loaded starting zones. Isolated pockets of much harder slab, up to 18 inches deep, persist beneath the newer snow, and retain some potential to be human triggered. At elevations below 7,500 feet, recent snow has fallen on mostly bare ground and avalanches are unlikely.
