The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow over the weekend and strong winds have deposited soft slabs to two feet in depth in avalanche terrain. Backcountry users could trigger these slabs today on steep avalanche paths, particularly those that have been loaded by the strong winds.
