CM for 03/03/22 Good general stability. Thin new windslab mainly NW to NE aspects above 950m. Avalanche Hazard will be Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability in most locations. Thin accumulations of weaker windslab confined to steep and sheltered North-West to North-East aspects above 950 metres, mainly gully tops and coire rims. Selected East aspects will also be affected by the end of the day. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Strong South East airflow easing. Less cold but freezing level remaining below summits. Light precipitation from late morning falling as snow at higher altitudes. Observed Weather Influences: Cold, mainly dry and windy day. Winds mainly strong South-Easterly. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most locations. Pockets of cold, old, weak windslab on some sheltered East aspects. New thin weak windslab present on steep North-West to North aspects above 950 metres. Elsewhere the snowpack is either firm, crusty, or has a thin cover of windblown snow. The avalanche hazard is Low.
