Lo esencial

The avalanche danger starts out MODERATE but may rise to CONSIDERABLE with daytime heating causing natural wet snow avalanches. As slopes become damp, avoid being on or below steep terrain. The danger will be most pronounced in the mid portion of the Skyline around the Ephraim Canyon zone which received the most snow during the last storm. Secondly, continue to pay attention to recently formed drifts of wind blown snow that still could be sensitive today.

Daytime heating today will most likely cause natural wet avalanche activity as the new snow gets damp. East facing slopes will be the first to heat up, then south, then west later in the day. For experienced backcountry travelers, this is not a real dangerous situation as it is easy to identify steep wet slopes and simply avoid being on or below them.
