Monitor the sun’s effect on the snowpack, and transition to shaded terrain when crusts begin to break down. While unlikely, deep persistent slabs still warrant mention due to their high consequences.

Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the mid-teens before rising into the upper twenties in the afternoon. Ridgetop winds will continue to be light and variable.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Low on Sunday. As the day warms, shallow wet loose slides will become possible on sunlit aspects, particularly in the Southwest Trails forecast zone. Otherwise, avalanche activity will be unlikely. Monitor the effect of the sun, and transition to shaded terrain if conditions warrant.
