Lo esencial
Cold temperatures after an extended thaw that included several rain events, has created a stable snowpack. Strong gusty winds may form some very shallow pockets of new wind slab at the highest elevations. These small slabs could knock over a skier or rider who ventures into cliff areas or the entrances of very steep couloirs. Watch for unstable snow on isolated terrain features.
Avalanche Discussion
Tomorrow looks to be cold in the morning with temperatures in the single digits expected at all elevations. Winds from the northwest are to be light and mountain temperatures should reach into the twenties under partly to mostly sunny skies. The snowpack is mostly stable and the avalanche hazard will be LOW.
