Lo esencial

Avalanches large enough to bury, injure, or kill a human are unlikely on Sunday. Always carry your safety gear in the backcountry, and use good travel techniques like riding one at a time.

Avalanche Discussion

With mixed rain and snow in the forecast, light winds, and minimal accumulation expected, the avalanche hazard is low. I don't anticipate enough new snow to create wind slabs or enough rain for significant wet loose avalanches.

Keep in mind that the snowpack varies across our mountain range, and isolated pockets of instability or small avalanches in  extreme terrain are possible. Always carry your shovel and probel, and make sure your transceiver is transmitting when you're in the backcountry. Take note and dial it back if you find weather or snowpack conditions that are different than what you expected.
