As a consequence of new snow and a strong to storm force northwesterly wind, sometimes deep wind slabs will form in the course of the day in all aspects. In all aspects individual small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized slab avalanches are to be expected as the snowfall becomes more intense. In particular on wind-loaded slopes the avalanches can be released in deep layers of the snowpack and reach medium size in isolated cases.

The old snowpack is largely stable. The new snow will be deposited on a quite favourable old snowpack in particular on shady slopes.
