The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust. The weather conditions from the late morning will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack. In starting zones where no previous releases have taken place and on very steep slopes more small and medium-sized gliding avalanches and moist snow slides are possible as the penetration by moisture increases. High altitudes and the high Alpine regions: The near-surface layers of the snowpack can be released in isolated cases by individual winter sport participants. From late morning the weather will be partly cloudy. Backcountry tours should be started early and concluded timely.

Below approximately 3000 m: The snowpack is moist and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. The surface of the snowpack will already soften in the late morning. As a consequence of mild temperatures and sleet the snowpack will settle at the weekend. This applies in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. The high humditiy will give rise to moistening of the snowpack. This applies in particular on sunny slopes at intermediate and high altitudes, and in all aspects at low and intermediate altitudes. Below approximately 2400 m only a little snow is lying on south facing slopes.

Monday: Little snow will fall in some localities. The avalanche danger will persist.
