Lo esencial

Cooler overnight temperatures has resulted in LOW avalanche hazard in the early morning hours at all elevations. During the morning, at the upper elevations, shallow isolated pockets of new surface slab lie upon a hard crust that could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones on a variety of aspects and at the mid and low elevations mostly stable snow exists. As temperatures quickly rise today and soften the snow surface, the hazard will increase at all elevations, increasing the sensitivity of the shallow slabs at the upper elevations as well as providing for the possibility of wet loose, slab, and sunballing of the new snow. The possibility for wet slide activity on steep snow covered slopes at the mid and low elevations will also increase this afternoon.
