Avalanche Summary

Cohesive slabs are resting on weak layers in the upper snowpack. You are more likely to trigger an avalanche where the slabs are thinner, such as near exposed rocks, on steep rollovers, and beneath ridges and cliffs. Avalanches triggered on previously drifted slopes that face northerly and easterly will be larger. As temperatures warm and the sun comes out you may experience wet, heavy snow sluffing on sunnier aspects at lower elevations. Though these will be small, they can be enough to knock you over and take you for a ride.

You can find safer travel options on low-angled slopes and wind-sheltered terrain.
